Well, this has certainly been a year unlike any other. We know that your lives have been turned upside down because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. You’ve struggled through mask wearing, social isolation, poor Zoom connections, carefully orchestrated trips to the grocery store, either job loss or management of potential workplace exposure if you are still working, health scares and possibly even the loss of loved ones. Along with this, you’ve learned new protocols on how to get your pet safely into our hospitals, sat in our parking lot in both good and bad weather, and talked a lot with us on the phone. Things certainly haven’t been easy, and we had no idea on March 17th when we abruptly adopted the Curbside Care protocol that we’d still be doing it in December. But here we are, and we thank you for your continued trust in us to provide you and your pets with the medical care you need.
We are tremendously proud of and thankful to our amazing and dedicated team members, who have made this whole new way of delivering veterinary medical care possible with their skill, adaptability, and passion. Having been designated Essential Workers, our incredibly hard-working team has been putting in more effort than ever during this Pandemic, catching our patients up on delayed preventive care and trying to see all the sick pets we can possibly see, including a record number of new clients and new patients!
To give our incredible staff a bit of a break and to thank them for their extra hard work, this year we will be closing for the Saturdays after both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We know that the area emergency hospitals (SAVES, CAVES, and BEVS) will do a great job until we return on the Monday after each holiday. We will still be open a half-day on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this three days of no Veremedy may cause you, but we really wanted to let our staff know how much they are appreciated by giving them a little extra time with their families. We will be back, perhaps a bit more rested, and ready to provide even more great medical care and services in 2021. We, like you, are desperately looking forward to the day we resume in-person visits and a semblance of normalcy!
Meanwhile, we wish you all health and comfort this Holiday Season!
